Streaming via Apple TV

Apple TV

Apple TV is a small computer that runs streaming apps, like Netflix or Hulu, and plays to your TV.

Overview:

Step 1: Turn on the Apple TV

Find the Apple TV remote (it’s a small stainless-steel thing) and hit the Play/Pause button. You should see a small white LED appear on the front of your Apple TV.

Step 2: Turn on the TV

Find the TV remote (it should have the same brand as your TV) and hit Power.

If you have a universal remote, hit TV and then Power.

Step 3: Make sure the TV source is correct

If you don’t see the Apple TV home screen, you’ll need to change the input source on your TV.

Find the TV remote and hit Input or Source until you see the Apple TV home screen.

If you have a universal remote, hit TV and then Input or Source until you see the Apple TV home screen.

Step 4: Find the app you want

Using the Apple TV remote, scroll through the Apps until you see the streaming service you want to watch. Then click the center button on the remote.

Step 5: Select your title

You can use the remote to either browse titles or search for a specific title by name. When you find the title you want, hit Play.
